Update... yes, I am still alive

So, I just wanted to let everyone know that I am alive and kicking… sort of. I am in the midst of the end of a very stressful semester, moving, and the holidays. Needless to say, I’m a tad bit busy. However, I have decided that beginning January 1st (this is my officially unofficial New Year’s resolution), I will be revamping my blog, and will make a commitment - mark my words - to write in the blog at least twice a week. I already have some great ideas and topics that I am dying to write about so check back on 1/1/11. Until then, hope everyone has a happy holiday season!

um stressed???

So, I think I might change the name of my blog to “Too busy to blog”. As much as I love the idea of sharing my thoughts, emotions, opinions, and other ramblings with anyone who decides to read them, I just simply don’t have the time. I’ve been reading a lot of blogs lately, and they have been very inspiring, and also discouraging because I realize that being a full-time college student, part-time waitress, and full-time wife (oh and did I mention, my hubby recently decided to start a new business and is using my “expertise” in marketing* to help him) does not lend much extra time to do much else. So, for the next two years of my life, my blog postings will be infrequent, probably written at some randomly late hour of the night when I was taking a break from a paper, project, or study sesh, but still had enough caffeine in my veins to keep me awake. Someday, I’d like to write about all the things I love, including but not limited to clothes, shoes, accessories, make-up, hair stuff, cooking, baking, decorating, etc etc etc. However, until then, I will probably write mostly about my classes because they have completely engulfed my life and what a better way to vent than on my blog.

*I am currently taking my very first marketing course, but it’s more than he’s ever taken so I guess that makes me qualified.

Ok so, I had this brilliant idea of starting a blog while I'm in school full-time...


I'm beginning to realize that maybe I should have waited until summer to do this. Obviously, I have not posted anything since November! Ha! Yes, yes I am indeed slacking off, but for good reasons: full-time school (as I mentioned), being a bridesmaid in my lovely friend Becca Rillo's wedding, and my husband and i just moved into a new apartment over spring break and we're still in the midst of organizing and making it look pretty.


I promise as soon as all of this madness is over I will make a commitment to blog at least once a week because frankly it is a nice release for me and I love to write and be creative. But for now I have to focus on more important things like this paper I've been putting off for my Consumer Rights class, and studying for the two exams I have tomorrow and the one exam I have the next day...

My current obsession...

To the rest of the world, this might sound a little crazy, but this morning when my alarm went off, I was waking up from a dream... about boots. Yes, boots. All kinds of boots. The dream itself was actually quite frustrating and annoying, as I was in a store (full of boots) and every time I found a boot I liked and asked for it in my size, they only had one instead of the pair. It kept happening over and over again, and just as i was getting so upset, my alarm went off and I woke up thinking "I need to go boot shopping".

My current obsession is motorcycle boots or riding boots. I love the details of the buckles and the sort of masculine look they have. I actually bought a pair recently at Forever 21 (great place to get something trendy if you want to test it out before committing to the more expensive version). I love wearing them with leggings and a a really feminine printed chiffon tunic or dress. The juxtaposition of the hard with the soft is really appealing to me at the moment.
